The UFO I finished last week that I am just now getting a picture of. It is a yellow brick road done with wizard of oz fabrics. I just quilted an overall swirl. Honestly it will probably go in the gift box for a child.I am not in love with it as much as I was in love with the fabric. Maybe I should of just left the fabric whole.hehehe

Drama Queen
After a glass of wine it still made me mad but I was able to laugh a little. The dram does continue however as you wouldnt belive what happened next!
That horribly expensive gate I ordered for wonder dog arrived. Above mentioned man sees the guy drive up and sneak it up to the porch. He was headed out the back however to take skater boy for a hair cut. (when your son mentions that he can touch his tongue to his hair it is time for a cut)So I run downstairs all prepared to bust wonder dogs escape artists bubble! I drag the gate inside as it weighs a ton so dragging is my only option. I notice that the box is pretty beat up. I get the gat out only to discover it is in a miliion peices! They beat the tar out of it.
Well given my current mood I had had it. The poor little girl at Petsmart. She probably went home and had a glass of wine herself. I did appologise to her. Petsmart is sending out a new gate. Hubby gets home though and decides that calling them was not enough, that a call to UPS is in order. That man. He truly was trying to help. Now though I have to wait around the house today for the UPS man to come inspect said gate so that they can write their finding on his claim.Sigh.
I did call the P.O. national number that my hero Jan sent me. I filed a claim and they are supposed to call me back. They did tell me that it IS their job to make sure the box slips do in fact get written.HA! It may infact get worse before it gets better but I couldnt let this one go. I feel so much calmer today. Maybe discovering a little inner drama queen is the first step to recovery?

They are at it again!
O.k. today is cleaning day and I really have to do it. I cant pull what I did yesterday. I was all ready to go work and getting in my groove when I spied something pretty in my sewing room. I dont really remember what it was but before I knew it I was hearing hubby drive up the driveway and it was time to quit. I never even made it to Gracie house!

Brrrrrrrr
Class was awesome on Sat. A little bit of bragging here. I was the only one to finish all my blocks! Of course it was due to the fact Jody wasnt there but I will take the credit for being a fast quilter. I would of taken lots of pictures but my camera is broken. I did behave myself. It wasnt easy but the ladies were a little tamer then the group I am normally with. They were still fun though.
After class my friend Jody took me on a date. Her hubby bought us tickets to go see Jucie Newton and Gary Pucket. I think she felt sorry for me. I made her pay though as I talked her ear off before the concert started. I think her ears are still ringing. poor Jody. She HATES country music and Juice leans a lot toward that side. Gary was getting over a cold so his voice wasnt all it should have been but all in all it was an awesome evening and a ton of fun! The music brought back great memories and it was easy to remember what it should of sounded like.hehehehe. I grew up loving all kinds of music so even though Gary's music was a bit older then when I was growing up I knew most of his songs.... THANK YOU J.B.!
My camera. Wonder dog is responsiblefor this. Skater boy likes to take my camera out while he is boarding in the garage and video cool tricks. He didnt see wonder dog sneak behind him into the garage until it was too late. The dog jumped up to see what he had put on the shelf and knocked the camera to the floor. The dog is starting to cost me a little more then I like. If she only werent so sweet I could get mad at her.
I need to borrow oldest daughters camera and take a few pics. I have aprons to show you and another UFO finish! For now though i need to get my groove going and go to work......

I gave in
I am doing this as (I cant belive this decision has been made) I have decided to sell it! Yup sell. I made a firm choice on the car. We are going with the Buick Enclave and if hubby cant move my truck over to the fleet he owns within the next month then I will sell. I am actually going to put it on the market now but I am very firm on the price. It is loaded with extremely low miles. Its going to take atleast two months once we order my car. So I would like to order it by January. We also decided to drive out on our journey next year instead of fly. It will be so much easier packing here and not having to worry about suitcases and such. This decision will probably change another 20 times before it happens but for right now this is where we are at. The bright side is that I will be without a vehicle payment for a couple months. Woo Hoo!
I stayed focused today long enough to get a customer quilt done. Its getting harder and harder to stay on track. My favorite cuz is due this coming month and all I want to do is make baby things. I also have homework to do for a mystery quilt class this Sat. Of course I left it until the week before. Procrastinater is my middle name.
I am excited about class this weekend but sad too. None of my buds can take the class with me so I will be with a group that I dont know. I hope they are fun. I am sure my buddy Jody has put out the warning sign for me.Ü. My mom always said I should come with one. They will ALL know me by the end of class for sure. I will try and behave though. At least for awhile. I guess I had better get back to my homework. oh yay.....

What would you ask
The kids and I were discussing this and trying to keep their mind off the fact that he is going to another country I say WOW dad can bring us back something from China! That is so cool! Of course the older two start plotting out what could they possibly want from China. I am deep in thought too but thinking of silk. Nah there is NO way I can get that man to search out a fabric store. He would go in one if it was right there but what are the chances of that!
The kids are so into this now they have lists going on. Poor wonderful hubby. He is sitting there shaking his head and thinking of the possible ways he can make me pay for this. Ü. I tell him of course you have to bring us back something from China. I mean HOW often can you get a present from China! Wow!
That is when youngest daughter pipes up. Well actually she says, all the time. I mean everything now is made in China! Ahhhh the wisdom of a 8 year old.

Ahhhh Costco

I would like to say that I was a very good girl in Anchorage but I am going to have to come clean. I fell off the wagon BIG time. I fell to temptation. Honestly though I had my reasons. That stupid heater in Gracie House is going to cost me more then I thought. Which means my Hydraulic lifts may have to wait. Even if I do manage to get all my UFOs done. UGH.... Iam still going to move that turtle dang it but I thought I still deserved something. So I caved on a Dooney bag......It looks just like this one but its bright red and oh so pretty!
I know I should have guilt or something and maybe it will come later but right now hehehe I am lovin the bag.
Now though I have to get back to my schedule. Find all my peoples I lost in the ugly hard drive crash and put them on my links list. Then I will not loose them again!
By the way I missed you all terribly!
Ouch
Friday comes and no computer. But thats o.k. We decide to go to Anchorage for a major costco run (wait till you hear about this one!) I figure Mr. fix it will have it done by Monday right? Wrong! When we call him he tells us we have lost everything and the hard drive needs to be replaced. He cant give us a time on when it will be done. Arghhhhh.
I couldnt take it anymore. I bought a new computer.Hooking up to the internet though has not been an easy thing though. We decided to get a wireless router and cant figure it out! Why oh why do things have to be so difficult? A friend is going to take pity on us today though and come see if he can hook us up. So for now I am back online.
Later I will tell you of our Costco run and my pretty new presents! Oh yeah did ya miss me?

When all else fails
When I ordered the new wheels for Gracie Jan kindly sent me detailed directions. I quickly printed them out and set them on the table to wait. I handed these instructions to wonderful hubby when we went to go put them on. I got the look. You all know that look. The look that says what do you think I am a complete moron for not knowing how to put on a wheel?
He set them down. I picked them back up again and said dont you think we should read these? He says no.O.K. I will read them while you put the wheels on. He was moving so quickly and I was so busy trying to hand him parts at best I skimmed them. I did catch a few things that he had to fix but he was done and out of there before I even knew what hit. O.k. well I played around with it and it felt a little tight but how do you really know until you get a quilt on.
Yesterday I finally loaded the next quilt in line. i quickly realised that something was not right! The wheels were way to tight. I tried a couple things but that didnt help.It took me an hour to figure out I was going to have to start from scratch. How in the heck am I going to do this Gracie weighs a ton! Somehow I got her jacked up on some chilli cans and went to reading my instructions.
My aha moment was not far away. It seems that the little bolts that the above mention man thought were stupid because they were so small are infact a vital part! They go on BEFORE the wheel goes on. WOW! Amazing difference let me tell you. I cant really make too much fun of him though as I didnt realise to pick up the directions until I had messes around out in Gracie house for way to long yesterday.
I did discover that I had to take off my parking wheels. They were not allowing the edgeriders to even touch the rails. Way bigger then them. Everything now is running pretty smoothly. Wouldnt it have been nice if we had read those directions first?

Guess what!
I did have another UFO finish last night. I was in such a foul mood after the memorial for our friend I locked myself in my room and finished the binding on my little wall hanging. I also knited like a dozen washcloths. I cannot sit without having something for my hands to do. Its worse if I am in any kind of mood. I will drive everyone around me nuts if I dont have something with me to do. Wonderful hubby has gotten used to me and my project bags and now will ask if I have remembered it before we even leave the driveway. He does take good care of me.
I am not done pimping Gracie ( I have been informed its not up or out its just pimping! Thank you Jody!) I still havent received the velcro and elastic for the new leaders and clamps but here she is so far with her new wheels, grid, and decals! My wonderful hubby even came home from work early to help me get the wheels on and level Gracie up again.
Now I have to get back to work. I am prcrastinating big time. Its not the W.A.B. disease that rears its ugly head all the time. This time its because my heater is broke! Seriously dead. I moved a little space heater out there while Wonderful hubby is fixing it but its just not cutting it. I hate being cold. I really really really hate being cold! So I am going to go layer on some clothes find my mittens and make everyone listen to me in the house whine. Maybe I will call my wonderful hubby and whine a little. Maybe not. He has been really spoiling me lately.............. Nah, I will tell him I love him first , but I hate being cold!

Catch Up
How fitting it is that yesterday it snowed for the first time. He HATED and I do mean that in caps HATED the snow! He would find such humor in that. So now I have to get back to life and catch up. Thats o.k.
KAREN L the Snuggle pattern is by a company called Great Copy Patterns. The number to the pattern is #1010 and is called a cuddle wrap. I can tell you it is by far the easiest thing I have ever made! I went to Joannes and bought polar fleece for like a dozen more! Obsess much?! Yup I do.
My Edgerider drama is over! Do I hear cries of joy? This is where I found them.
http://www.quilttech.com/page.home
These people are wonderful. I asked them if they could expedite the shipping and he hand carried them to the post office for me. They arrived Monday night. Today I am going to finish the quilt on the frame. The SAME one I have been working on for like ever. Then I am giving Gracie a makeover! I even orderend some fun decals. I told my kids I am going to Pimp her out! (or would that be up? I havent watched that show enough to know the proper term) I will take a picture when I am done.Ü
ok. I have just finished my 3rd cup of coffee. It is time to get busy. Well maybe I will visit my favorite blogs first.

Saturday
They barely use a yard of fabric and only 3 pattern peices. My kind of project!
Here is a closer picture of the receiving blanket. They are also super super easy. I buy one yard of fabric. I do make these two layers so two different peices. The bigger peice is one yard square. The smaller peice is 34 inches square. All I do is fold over the larger piece to self bind.Super quick and easy. The left over fabric I use for burp cloths.
I just got this fabric in the mail. Its for a swap that I am doing. Its so yummy and makes me want to go get another cup of coffee!

Fabric Therapy
I should warn you there are a LOT of pictures in this post! I borrowed Oldest daughters camera and got all the pictures I wanted. This is the small wallhanging I finished the other day. I dont like it. It has bad memories for me. It was supposed to be a large bed quilt. But the teacher of this class was horribly rude and hated my fabric. She actually used it as an example of what not to use. I got up and walked out and only finished these blocks because I did not want them to go to waste. I will use it as a tablecloth.
My Pretty Shiny new thread and the reason I got sidetracked all day. I had to make room for it. Which then resulted in cleaning up the whole thread wall. Isnt it pretty?
But then that made my tool wall look bad so I had to clean that up! I wonder how long it will all look this pretty.
While I was working in Gracie House I decided to finally drill those holes in the new clamps I ordered for Gracie last month. I am going to make them like Sharon Schambers tutorial teaches.Just waiting on my elastic and RED velcro.....ooooooh yummy.
These are belated pictures of my Secret Siticher gift. I am going to do the Penny rug this weekend.LOVE it all
Isnt this the cutest thing you have ever seen?
Last but not least If you havent seen this book you HAVE to check it out on amazon! It is the funniest book I have ever seen and isnt x-rated at all. I bought a couple 3 for gifts. My oldest dd and I were cracking up last night reading it.
Well I guess I had better to work. Time to fight Gracie again. I know I should level her up but to do it right I need to take her off of her table. I dont want to do that until the edgeriders have come in.
OH YEAH! I almost forgot. I called the company first thing this a.m. They inform me they are on backorder still. They have no clue when to expect them in. I told her to cancel them as I need to find someone that has them in stock. She was a little irritated and I am sorry about that but I need them like now. I went onto the edgerider website and they have a list of dealers. It took a few calls but I think I may have found them. I will know later today.

Its a conspiracy!
I am being a very good girl here. I really really am. But today I threw the biggest fit. One that would rival ANY two year old or my Youngest DD after a soda.
I have been ordering all sorts of things. I do most of my shopping online. So I have probably a dozen boxes coming in. Not just stuff for me or Gracie, but for school, for the kids, for hubby.Well, I have been getting really aggravated as NONE of it seems to be coming in.
Today I send oldest daughter up to get the mail and she brings home a box slip. I calmly look up the zip code to see if it is worth going to town for (my edgeriders) and see that it is indeed a box from the state in which I am waiting. Illinois. This means my wheels!
Oldest daughter seeing the ecstatic hyper state I am in makes the executive decision to go into town for me. I spend my time working on the quilt I cant seem to get done because of that WAB thing. That and other reasons (uneven table due to Wonderful hubby trying to level up Gracie House better, and bad wheels).
An hour later she comes in carrying 6 boxes! Two of them have been sitting at the post office since the middle of Sept ! The mail lady askes her why she hasnt been in to pick them up and Oldest daughter tells her we never got the slips.ARGH. It seems we have a new mail carrier that is in need of a reminder that people NEED mail slips since mind reading doesnt seem to be working.
Well I am ready to forgive this mail person when I see my box from Kingsmen. Until I open the box that is. NO WHEELS! A little note at the bottom of the packing slip indicates they are on back order. This is something they could of told me when I ordered them so that I could of found them at a different source! I am calling them tomorrow to find out if they have been mailed. If not I am canceling them so that I can order them from someplace else!
I did get my pattern grid in which I really am in need of too but everything else was for the kids. It is a conspiracy I tell you! It is!
Another Boring Blog Post
Last night a good friend came over to play guitar with skater boy and the extra kid. He is such a good friend and a great influence on skater boy. He goes out of his way to look for things he can do or has in common with him. Last week he came over and played video games for awhile. So we try and feed him since he is single and we all enjoy hanging out with him.
I worked all day yesterday. That WAB disease though sprang its ugly head. I finished 2 of the three quilts and got the third loaded. I was out in Gracie house all day but guess what I was doing......Playing with thread! I got in 13 new cones. of course I had to spread it all out and play with it. Then I noticed that my thread wall wasnt organised very well. So then I had to do that. Well before I knew it Wonderful hubby was firing up the barbecue and enticing me with shish ka bobs. I love that man.He even bought beer! He must have known my wheels didnt come in.grrrrrrrr.
I did have a finish yesterday.A small wall hanging. However my camera is MIA. Which really sucks. I want to take a pic of my wonderful ss gift that came in the mail a few days ago. I think the same man mentioned above may have taken off with it for work purposes. So I will forgive him since he is so good to me.
sorry this post is boring and pictureless but boring is making me happy.Ü
