Its been a VERY busy few months...Yes I am still testing for my favorite designers. I can't see stopping that any time soon. They are amazing. I am however starting a new venture with Turtle Trax Too.<br />
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-H2aZOiARGi0/XK_aoWNhmMI/AAAAAAAAIXg/3kf0X5HSbV8RShXK_Pk-Zv2qo1b68zBWwCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_9971.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1067" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-H2aZOiARGi0/XK_aoWNhmMI/AAAAAAAAIXg/3kf0X5HSbV8RShXK_Pk-Zv2qo1b68zBWwCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_9971.JPG" width="213" /></a><br />
Until I can get Gracie (my Longarm back up and running) I have added bag making to my resume. Gracie will be ok. There is just a funny sound coming from the motor. For all my Longer buddies I have tried everything I can think of to find the noise.So until I can find a tech she stays off...You wouldn't think that would be a problem is Florida. BUT IT IS.Very frustrating.I may have a lead on one. I have to get back to my hairdresser.Hahaha..You gotta love a small town.<br />
<br />
<br />
I am VERY proud of these bags though. I took the time and learned a few great patterns and I have been able to tweak and modify them to be better.<br />
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4zVH-uL0fSM/XK_alKByXeI/AAAAAAAAIXY/4ODXBNML5igNpMjhrMaLIaw6eaSSCheqgCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_9982.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1067" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4zVH-uL0fSM/XK_alKByXeI/AAAAAAAAIXY/4ODXBNML5igNpMjhrMaLIaw6eaSSCheqgCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_9982.JPG" width="213" /></a> The Nemo Inspired bag<br />
was a custom order as was the<br />
Mary Poppins inspired Slingbag. I do have more of each fabric available.<br />
<br />
The wallet below is up for sale :).....If you are interested in any of my bags or just want to see more you can find me on Instagram at Turtletraxtoo.<br />
<br />
I have several new patterns I am working right now. I can't wait to get them done and be able to show them off!<br />

You may have heard the term but wonder just what is it? I know I did... So after googling and doing some research this is what I was able to find....<br />
<br />
This information was taken from <a href="https://oureverydaylife.com/description-and-characteristics-of-supplex-fabric-12564983.html" target="_blank">https://oureverydaylife.com/description-and-characteristics-of-supplex-fabric-12564983.html</a><br />
<br />
<span style="color: inherit; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; font-size: 26px;">The Fabric</span><br />
<div class="article-content" style="box-sizing: border-box; font-family: Raleway, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;">
<div style="box-sizing: border-box;">
<div style="box-sizing: border-box;">
Supplex fabric was created by scientists at Invista in hopes of combining the comfort of cotton with modern fiber technology. The goal was to create a comfortable long-lasting fabric. Through the use of modern fiber technology, Supplex fabric became a more beneficial fabric than original cotton.</div>
<h2 style="box-sizing: border-box; color: inherit; font-size: 26px; font-weight: 500; line-height: 1.1; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 18px; padding: 0px;">
Characteristics</h2>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box;">
Cotton has a specific kind of texture and feel to it which Supplex resembles. However, cotton can fade or shrink over time, and it requires ironing since it creases easily. Supplex fabric stays true to size and keeps its shape even after regular wear and use. This fabric is lightweight, flexible and soft.</div>
<div class="small-screen-ad no-print" id="300x250_atf" style="box-sizing: border-box;">
</div>
<h2 style="box-sizing: border-box; color: inherit; font-size: 26px; font-weight: 500; line-height: 1.1; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 18px; padding: 0px;">
Description</h2>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box;">
Supplex fabric can consist entirely of Supplex nylon, or it can be a combination of the Supplex nylon and Lycra Spandex, with about 89 percent of the fabric being made of Supplex nylon. This fabric is resistant to water, wind and tears, so it won't damage easily and can be worn even in the harshest climates. It stretches easily and is comfortable enough for sports and outdoor activities. Supplex doesn't get wet easily, and when it does, it dries quickly. it doesn't change color, shape or size after being washed.</div>
<h2 style="box-sizing: border-box; color: inherit; font-size: 26px; font-weight: 500; line-height: 1.1; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-top: 18px; padding: 0px;">
Comparison</h2>
<div style="box-sizing: border-box;">
As compared to other fabrics, Supplex is a very beneficial fabric which combines the characteristics of different type of fabrics. It is as soft and comfortable as cotton, but doesn't crease, wrinkle, shrink or fade as cotton could over time. When compared to both synthetic and non-synthetic fabrics, Supplex also dries quickly and is breathable. Therefore, you can wear it while you sweat without the wet, sticky feeling you would experience with other fabrics.</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So most running skirts are preferably made with Swim fabric. I am not sure if that is for the way it drapes,feels, or performance..I am not going to say I am this elite athlete and have all this great experience..I am a runner sure..But I run for fun. I am not fast nor do I even care too..I train to improve definitely. But I also train so that I can stay healthy, enjoy my run, and be injury free.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I can tell you that after wearing the Supplex that I am no longer a swim fabric addict. I will happily make a running skirt with Supplex again...I know many use it for leggings to be worn working out and Yoga. I can understand why. Its incredibly soft and is not heavy at all...</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
As my post before these fabrics are from <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/SewFitFabrics" target="_blank">Sew Fit Custom Athletic Fabrics</a> . I HIGLY recommend this fabric. Becca Seal has designed some of the greatest prints and her prices and shipping are pretty awesome y'all...She also does make custom leggings if you do not sew. You really should go check her out.</div>

Living in Florida these items are staples in my closet..Especially the running skirts. I wear one every day. This skirt is so adorable on but its really a great pattern to follow....<br />

<div style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">
</div>
<br />
<br />
So evidently my oldest monster is ready for preschool...I am not sure how this happened as I am not ready! I blame his mother. She was always in a hurry to grow up..<br />
<br />
Whats a Nana to do?? Get her tail into the sewing room and start sewing thats what! He has to have some special nana made clothing for this monumental event! If your monster is around the same age you understand the PJ Mask obsession also. So I started searching.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XCTf4jJFqAs/W15EWJJ7ZdI/AAAAAAAAGB8/z5SvEj61EsgmK4Fwm3ST0gSe5PgWAZJBwCLcBGAs/s1600/Love2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1086" data-original-width="724" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XCTf4jJFqAs/W15EWJJ7ZdI/AAAAAAAAGB8/z5SvEj61EsgmK4Fwm3ST0gSe5PgWAZJBwCLcBGAs/s320/Love2.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>
I found a Pre Order for just the right fabrics through <a href="https://hissyfitfabrics.com/" target="_blank">Hissy Fit Fabrics </a> . Also on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/hissyfitfabrics/" target="_blank">FaceBook</a>. I put my order in right away.<br />
<br />
Catboy for our oldest and Gecko for his trusty sidekick AKA the mini monster...The tricky part was keeping this a secret..I made the mistake of telling Pop Pop...He is nothing more then a BIG kid himself and could barely contain his excitement.<br />
<br />
While I was waiting for the fabric to come in I started the search for the perfect Pattern...So I am pretty vocal about my favorite pattern companies..If you have read my blog before you should know I have a true love for Bella Sunshine Designs.<br />
<br />
Now its true they are mostly patterns for girls and women BUT...And this is a big but....They have to perfect shirt pattern. The <a href="https://bellasunshinedesigns.com/product/reagan-raglan-kids/" target="_blank">Regan Raglan</a> ...It was absolutely perfect for the panels so these shirts.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mq1ghlMc8ts/W15EWK-90gI/AAAAAAAAGB4/ZCtiUaAgGI0FL5H6wi3KjmJJs40-Zzx_QCLcBGAs/s1600/Love3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1086" data-original-width="724" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mq1ghlMc8ts/W15EWK-90gI/AAAAAAAAGB4/ZCtiUaAgGI0FL5H6wi3KjmJJs40-Zzx_QCLcBGAs/s320/Love3.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>
Its not always easy to find patterns that fit over their hmmmm not so small heads..Little monsters at their ages typically don't like tight necklines...Its NO fun to argue over putting shirts on because they are too tight.<br />
<br />
Especially after you have put a bit of work into making them! But these are perfect. Not only do you have the option of a regular neckline but you also can chose the V-Neck. The sleeves are banded and let me tell you I LOVE THAT...I hate hemming..But you could hem if you are one of those..You know the ones with a coverstitch.... HA!.....(someday I will be one of those)<br />
<br />
A bonus with this pattern is that its not just a top, but if you have little Princesses you can make the tunic or a dress!Seriously does that not just rock? ....Ok though I have given you all these reasons to LOVE the Regan Raglan, but you want to know the best reason of all? Right now is a pretty cool Back to school blog tour going on. I have posted the blogs participating at the end of this post. These mamas have worked so hard so lets go show them some love.<br />
<br />
My monsters were so excited over their new Nana made shirts. Especially that they matched..I love that they aren't too old for that..So Catboy is off to Preschool in just 2 weeks..But Gecko will be waiting for him at nana house...<br />
<br />
But first some bloopers from Picture day. When I tried to get them to pose we had just a bit of a meltdown..Yall I was laughing so hard at my little drama monster.....Ohhhhhhh Nana its TOO hot to smile! <br />
<br />
Pop pop too the rescue though. An offer of Cookies and juice and all was well!<br />

OMGeeeeeeeeeeee y'all! <br />
<br />
I was chosen to be a part of the tester team for <a href="https://www.etsy.com/shop/SewFitFabrics" target="_blank">Sew Fit Fabrics</a>.. Custom Athletic fabric and in just the best prints!<br />
<br />
First off I was over the moon excited to help in sewing this fabric up. I was in love with the prints the second I saw them.<br />
<br />
As soon as they came in I got them in the wash. Thats usually my first test with fabric. You would be amazed at how many fabrics bleed or do not wash up well..These were a dream.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3idDsHTftEg/W2IjYsNuzmI/AAAAAAAAGE4/j2EIlkgo9vUlCucbMvqX_PloMLaNi8eawCLcBGAs/s1600/a2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="724" data-original-width="1086" height="213" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3idDsHTftEg/W2IjYsNuzmI/AAAAAAAAGE4/j2EIlkgo9vUlCucbMvqX_PloMLaNi8eawCLcBGAs/s320/a2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I even threw them in the dryer. They won't ever see the dryer again but I wanted to see how they would do...They were perfect.<br />
<br />
So then I picked patterns. As you can see I started with the Wine & Dine print and the first 2 patterns I chose were the 10k Racerback from <a href="http://pickletoespatterns.com/?aff=230" target="_blank">Pickle Toes</a>. ( Affiliate Link) I love this pattern. The fit is great and its fun..<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YtTIpbi3GVM/W2IjZEOxCeI/AAAAAAAAGE8/_VRAwDDRRwgohE-BjI3oluClYjbXyL9YQCLcBGAs/s1600/a3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="724" data-original-width="1086" height="213" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YtTIpbi3GVM/W2IjZEOxCeI/AAAAAAAAGE8/_VRAwDDRRwgohE-BjI3oluClYjbXyL9YQCLcBGAs/s320/a3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
The second pattern I chose was the LouLouxe Skirt from <a href="https://jalie.com/jalie3670-loulouxe-skort" target="_blank">Jalie</a>...This is my GO TO pattern for running skirts..The fit is perfection, the instructions are spot on and the results are always consistent...<br />
<br />
I mean seriously how cute is this outfit?!?<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xmOKY9V1nvw/W2IjZvMZNJI/AAAAAAAAGFA/VQ7xlHe78Ps84h14PGRBOMxWFTlKoW7OQCLcBGAs/s1600/a4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="724" data-original-width="1086" height="213" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xmOKY9V1nvw/W2IjZvMZNJI/AAAAAAAAGFA/VQ7xlHe78Ps84h14PGRBOMxWFTlKoW7OQCLcBGAs/s320/a4.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I even got a bit creative with the back..<br />
<br />
Hahah ok I cut so many other things out and misplaced the back so HAD to get creative..We are going to call it a design element..<br />
<br />
Either way I love it now.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1jYgojEzE54/W2IjX-IFZAI/AAAAAAAAGEs/O2trDKpX6ew7zvHmLkl1PwA9GBfsb5gkwCLcBGAs/s1600/Best%2Bears.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-1jYgojEzE54/W2IjX-IFZAI/AAAAAAAAGEs/O2trDKpX6ew7zvHmLkl1PwA9GBfsb5gkwCLcBGAs/s320/Best%2Bears.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>

I also used some scraps and designed some ears for a couple of friends..<br />
<br />
Lets just say I am not an ear maker..These will probably be the only ones I ever make..My machine did not like the tight zig zag at all..<br />
<br />
So sharpie to the rescue!<br />
<br />
Last but not least I was able to squeeze out a pair of Panties out of my new favorite pattern by <a href="https://megannielsen.com/collections/free/products/acacia" target="_blank">Meghan Nielson</a>.<br />
<br />
This is the Acacia pattern and y'all they are FREE!! Thats right..FREE...I have all ready tested the pattern and as I said above, they are my new favorites..<br />
<br />
So stay tuned I am on to the Star Wars fabric!<br />
<br />

<br />
I actually was so excited to see one of my favorite designers with an open test for the Shakti's! These are truly the best pants ever..I have worn them every day since I made them. I just need to get in the studio and make at least 2 more pair!<br />
<br />
I used a Riley Blake Navy Feather Knit from <a href="https://www.peekaboopatternshop.com/" target="_blank">Peek A Boo fabrics</a>, and they are so comfy yet dressy. If you haven't ever checked out Peek A Boo you really should. So many fun fabrics and they run some pretty great sales also...<br />
<br />
But back to the Shakti's. I don't think its a secret I am a <a href="https://designerstitch.com/shop/shakti-jersey-pants/?affiliates=110" target="_blank">Designer Stitch</a> groupie. I have honestly loved every thing I have ever tested.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

The version I chose were the Yoga waistband and Ruched sides. There are so many other options to chose from though. Including an add on that hasn't released yet..You DONT want to miss this!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i5IAcHXizJI/W14w0gZL3xI/AAAAAAAAGBY/EFJe0tk9i_MRT6VkqikgWyhS9BBFQHJ2gCLcBGAs/s1600/thumb_IMG_9023_1024.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="724" data-original-width="1086" height="213" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i5IAcHXizJI/W14w0gZL3xI/AAAAAAAAGBY/EFJe0tk9i_MRT6VkqikgWyhS9BBFQHJ2gCLcBGAs/s320/thumb_IMG_9023_1024.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>

<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Lkr3BG6V0Ao/Wy6YSahlUjI/AAAAAAAAEMc/YCctOZD9cycMjYx-afbO7cBiOioLsThJQCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_8802_Fotor.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Lkr3BG6V0Ao/Wy6YSahlUjI/AAAAAAAAEMc/YCctOZD9cycMjYx-afbO7cBiOioLsThJQCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_8802_Fotor.jpg" width="320" /></a>So I am VERY excited over this skirt that just released today! I have been having the hardest time not sharing it sooner. This is the Carmen skirt from <a href="https://designerstitch.com/shop/carmen-flounce-skirt/?affiliates=110" target="_blank">Designer Stitch</a> . If I haven't said it before I absolutely love everything this designer comes up with. She is also the same designer I tested the Kate Vintage Tea Dress for.<br />
<br />
I knew within a second after she released the test that I was going to be making more then one! I have made 2 and have a 3rd almost completed. That one will be part of a special costume for Dapper Day at Walt Disney this coming fall.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1-788lLGp4g/Wy6YCcqS39I/AAAAAAAAEME/QbXZu0DZE3YvcSTdv4B-EemRSsopdkchACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_8780_Fotor.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1-788lLGp4g/Wy6YCcqS39I/AAAAAAAAEME/QbXZu0DZE3YvcSTdv4B-EemRSsopdkchACLcBGAs/s320/IMG_8780_Fotor.jpg" width="320" /></a>My first Carmen I made was the toile to make sure the fit was good before I cut out the final. I thought I will just run to walmart for a cheap fabric. Well I did get a cheap fabric but I am IN LOVE with the final outcome! The fabric I used is a Decorator weight cotton. After I got it all cut out someone in the test group mentioned how cute it would be with a double ruffle. I just happened to have a light cotton pink gingham that looked great with the large floral print. So I cut out a second ruffle. I didn't even have the skirt completed and WH was telling me it was his favorite item I had ever made..<br />
<br />
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-N5UarAs_pfc/Wy6YCu0XuzI/AAAAAAAAEMI/TItz-62-3-E5jx4dAWDyEICk84T2et8VwCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_8775_Fotor.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-N5UarAs_pfc/Wy6YCu0XuzI/AAAAAAAAEMI/TItz-62-3-E5jx4dAWDyEICk84T2et8VwCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_8775_Fotor.jpg" width="320" /></a>So the second Carmen was to be my final. I had this amazing pale pink Crepe that I had been saving. It has small flecks of gold through out it. Its amazing that I made 2 of the same skirts but they are so incredibly different! Wildly romantic but one borders on a subtle classy romantic and the other is a bit more wild. I can't wait for that third one to be finished to show y'all how different it is!<br />
<br />
I cannot recommend this designer enough. I LOVE how detailed she is in her instructions. I love how perfect her designs are when they are finished and I absolutely love testing for her.<br />
<br />
I can tell you that once both skirts were finished I decided they BOTH are coming to Sri Lanka with me!<br />
<br />

One of the other dresses I have made for Sri Lanka is the Kendra From <a href="https://aliceandann.com/">Alice and Ann</a> ...I fell in love with this dress the moment I saw the pattern release. I knew without a doubt it was getting made. The second I saw it go on sale I snapped it up! Then I waited for a good sale at Joanns for fabric..The fabric I wanted was not cheap.<br />
<br />
What you can't really see in the photo is the detail on the white. It has 3-d flowers with little crystal detail in the center..I didn't need much of it but I still wanted to make this dress affordable. I am determined to prove to myself that I can make clothing as stylish as what I would buy for so much less...Not only that but the fit will be perfect for me!<br />
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-L696pTuXAyA/Wyhle7oNRII/AAAAAAAAELg/tNtiVuBuhsUqz8k_asLYVatTeR9wWONdgCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_8824_Fotor.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-L696pTuXAyA/Wyhle7oNRII/AAAAAAAAELg/tNtiVuBuhsUqz8k_asLYVatTeR9wWONdgCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_8824_Fotor.jpg" width="320" /></a>The steel grey is a suiting fabric that I found..I didn't pay much attention to types of fabric as I knew this dress was going to be dry clean only. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AuEuoiuhtK0/WyhlelKt5BI/AAAAAAAAELc/1ITJ9FZaHCo7jbUCJcgo9Jhjqg0MDcqCgCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_8826_Fotor.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AuEuoiuhtK0/WyhlelKt5BI/AAAAAAAAELc/1ITJ9FZaHCo7jbUCJcgo9Jhjqg0MDcqCgCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_8826_Fotor.jpg" width="320" /></a>The only modification/hack I have made was to band the bottom of the dress..One of the others I saw made had done that and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to showcase the white. That white by the way is a chiffon! So there is 2 layers of lining under it to make it so that you couldn't see through it. LOL..Not a look I was going for ;)...<br /><br />My thoughts on the pattern. I thought it was very well written. I had not done pleats this way so I enjoyed learning a new technique. I would definitely buy from this designer again.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-myrThL2r3Lw/WyhleJXesTI/AAAAAAAAELY/UoqKDaW7phIJPE19pOOKu9sgh9UA4lHxQCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_8822_Fotor.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-myrThL2r3Lw/WyhleJXesTI/AAAAAAAAELY/UoqKDaW7phIJPE19pOOKu9sgh9UA4lHxQCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_8822_Fotor.jpg" width="320" /></a>At this time this is the only pattern that is for sale. So I hope that means she is drafting new ones..We will see...For now though I still have more to show but I can't! Still waiting for patterns to release.Thats the hardest part for me! The waiting.</div>

The 10K Racerback Tank/Dress from <a href="https://pickletoespatterns.com/collections/new/products/10k-racer-back?variant=8191842943073&aff=230">Pickle Toes Patterns</a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Y'all this is one of the most comfortable tank dresses I have ever put on!</div>
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OVZiTiqUOmc/WyLaxGw4nuI/AAAAAAAAEJY/22VO7Hmggik5XI6gh0_MY-YluwtmIkGeACLcBGAs/s1600/PTP2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OVZiTiqUOmc/WyLaxGw4nuI/AAAAAAAAEJY/22VO7Hmggik5XI6gh0_MY-YluwtmIkGeACLcBGAs/s320/PTP2.jpg" width="320" /></a>I can't remember where I purchased the material but I do know its a really good Scuba Knit. I had been hoarding it awhile and it was perfect for this tank!<br />
<br />
There is also a wider back option if you don't like the Racerback style. I love the look of it though so that was my choice.<br />
<br />
I also chose the Mini length..But well I do also have 2 others I have made in the shirt length..I did say I loved the fit!<br />
<br />
But here is the BEST news that was just announced on the Facebook page tonight! Y'all this is BIG! Kellie <span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">decided to make some last minute changes to the pattern. First off they added colored size lines. Second is NO TRIM PAGES!!! This is Pickle Toes Patterns first ever trimless pattern! UMMMMM Let me tell you as a pattern tester this is like MAJOR love...... </span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><br /></span>
<br />

<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4-cb9J5ctTc/WyLa0Bs83PI/AAAAAAAAEJc/Og9pUZ2bVqMBHITmnCS3GDdLAeNnTDD_gCLcBGAs/s1600/PTP3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="display: inline !important; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4-cb9J5ctTc/WyLa0Bs83PI/AAAAAAAAEJc/Og9pUZ2bVqMBHITmnCS3GDdLAeNnTDD_gCLcBGAs/s320/PTP3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="background-color: white; color: #1d2129; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">She also added new sizing that makes fitting everyone even easier!</span><br />

<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AtvwuHfPKfY/WyBA3mo14bI/AAAAAAAAEI8/aBdRXzVMg9AYELrWlHqje13XYWJkdPiwgCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_8814.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AtvwuHfPKfY/WyBA3mo14bI/AAAAAAAAEI8/aBdRXzVMg9AYELrWlHqje13XYWJkdPiwgCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_8814.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
So I am not usually a lover of pattern mashing. I love to create but to mash patterns together just boggles my mind. I have a hard time envisioning the final product.<br />
<br />
I went through about 2 weeks of worry over this one!<br />
<br />
Initially I saw the fabric posted on FaceBook. Someone was advertising the fabric aptly named Pulpo. I was so fascinated but I procrastinated and lost out. It sold out.<br />
<br />
Over a couple of months though I could NOT get it out of my head! I finally couldn't take it anymore as I had to have it! So I begged...Seriously in every destash group and even on<a href="https://www.rikipediawear.com/"> RP Custom fabrics</a> Facebook page. Much to my delight someone took pity on me (or they just wanted to shut me up) and sold me a bit of their stash! Enough to make a skirt.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7Qkcj7YDpaY/WyBAvCUwdII/AAAAAAAAEI4/XSPomHoA18EiQwWcL1DeXTbXzSfBEGPCACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_8815.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7Qkcj7YDpaY/WyBAvCUwdII/AAAAAAAAEI4/XSPomHoA18EiQwWcL1DeXTbXzSfBEGPCACLcBGAs/s320/IMG_8815.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Thats when the worry started hahahah..I was not about to waste even an inch. The fabric came in what they call a round. So that means the pattern was on all the edges with the black only being in the middle..That pretty much cinched the skirt. It would have to be a circle skirt.<br />
<br />
But the bodice...GAH...I seriously agonized over this. The pattern used in the sample dress was called the Jawbreaker by a designer named <a href="https://georgeandgingerpatterns.com/">George& Ginger</a> . I LOVE her patterns. I own quite a few and have always been impressed with her directions and style.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vx6ovRrk21Y/WyBA3zVZuSI/AAAAAAAAEJA/TGJm5PUS8kchtroS16D6ETcmXnlH4bmkACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_8816.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vx6ovRrk21Y/WyBA3zVZuSI/AAAAAAAAEJA/TGJm5PUS8kchtroS16D6ETcmXnlH4bmkACLcBGAs/s320/IMG_8816.JPG" width="320" /></a>I do love the bodice on the Jawbreaker and will be making it at some point but I was looking for different..Enter the Daydream. LOVEd the bodice it but wasn't in love with the skirt..I should never have worried if the 2 would mesh together easily. Y'all it was like slicing warm butter. Perfection.<br />
<br />
The pattern did not disappoint in clear easy to understand directions and the result is WOW...I....LOVE.....THIS.....DRESS!<br />
<br />
<br />
I have quite a few new makes to share soon. I have been so busy testing and getting my clothes made for Sri Lanka..Which BTW is in 3 weeks! So much of what I have made has not been released though so I can't share just yet. :).............<br />

Its pretty rare that I will chose to sew a romper/jumpsuit type of garment. In fact there is only one other that I have ever sewn. While I loved that one it took a LOT of altering and fixing to get a good fit. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am going to tell you right now that this one took NONE...Seriously none..I have begun to believe that Ann the designer spins the same magic that was found in the traveling pants! Designer stitch has truthfully become very one of my favorite PDF pattern designers...<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vUYErN_yHWg/Wu-VCsizynI/AAAAAAAAEHc/7UJxvx2uemcN-zc6vd6OIbK9xVJnmwnJwCLcBGAs/s1600/Eden%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vUYErN_yHWg/Wu-VCsizynI/AAAAAAAAEHc/7UJxvx2uemcN-zc6vd6OIbK9xVJnmwnJwCLcBGAs/s320/Eden%2B3.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I absolutely LOVE the way she does facings. I said that before on my Kate Vintage Tea dress but I really love when a designer covers ever little detail..There are times when you want that quick lets do some shortcuts type outfit. But thats what you get...<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: "helvetica neue" , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Living in Florida now I have discovered why summer dresses are all the rage! I love having a fun little dress to put on when its humid and hot out. At first I thought this would be great for errands and the beach. But when I got this GORGEOUS rayon spandex in from Sewierd I fell in love. This is definitely a dress that could go from errands to a great date night with hubby! </span></span></span><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3m4GauwP7hU/WtaNDLI6wiI/AAAAAAAAEGQ/36PfWjqzcJsZRHxSKgzzvP1dJh48lEfcACLcBGAs/s1600/blog%2B3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3m4GauwP7hU/WtaNDLI6wiI/AAAAAAAAEGQ/36PfWjqzcJsZRHxSKgzzvP1dJh48lEfcACLcBGAs/s320/blog%2B3.jpg" width="320" /></a>The one hack that I am the most proud of is the cold shoulder sleeves. It really adds some fun and flirty to this dress, but I also added elastic to the back to make it more fitted. It still is so amazingly comfortable that I want to wear it ALL day long. I think that the 2 hacks really make this dress unique. The All Seasons pattern is so amazing and fun to use as a base for so many options!</div>

<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-f3YIL4uUtIQ/WslHkGr_F9I/AAAAAAAAEFc/LQQt07iQuAYD0IE2IcxvvPax_zw6fYKnQCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_8707.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1067" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-f3YIL4uUtIQ/WslHkGr_F9I/AAAAAAAAEFc/LQQt07iQuAYD0IE2IcxvvPax_zw6fYKnQCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_8707.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
When I saw the test go up for the Vintage Kate Tea dress I was prepared to beg to be accepted..Seriously beg. I could tell from just the drawing that it was going to be one of my favorite dresses ever.<br />
<br />
Y'all I cannot even begin to describe how much I love this dress.The fabric is a very lovely Rayon that I found at Hobby Lobby. I had bought it with no project in mind. It was the perfect fit.<br />
<br />
The pattern is one of the most well written patterns I have done.Its really sometimes quite difficult to test. The reason a designer asks for testers is to find any little flaws in the design or instructions..Many times they have been looking at it all too long that they just don't see anything anymore. A set of fresh eyes can be a big help!<br />
<br />
With this pattern I felt like a tester failure. I tried to find anything at all that could be a help..Nope..<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kBQvhnL8Q3Q/WslHlv93XXI/AAAAAAAAEFk/aN4JZ46yV30HxVr10FTXIMUWyWe4uZR0gCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_8709.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1067" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kBQvhnL8Q3Q/WslHlv93XXI/AAAAAAAAEFk/aN4JZ46yV30HxVr10FTXIMUWyWe4uZR0gCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_8709.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
The pattern went together sooooooooooo easy! I have sewn for many years but I am still learning. Many times I will get a pattern with a new technique that I haven't<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LTcdr83d45w/WslHlJQV25I/AAAAAAAAEFg/XkfScKQ9hKs6l4_N-slWhvGkP9EGfywdQCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_8716.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1067" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LTcdr83d45w/WslHlJQV25I/AAAAAAAAEFg/XkfScKQ9hKs6l4_N-slWhvGkP9EGfywdQCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_8716.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
done. Actually it happens a lot. Lol. I am a big chicken with a few things and will avoid them. Lol..This was the BEST hands down hidden zipper I have ever done. I also will say I am a bit in love with how she does her facings.<br />
<br />
I will be making this dress again. I have seen so many beautiful versions come from the other testers that now I am DYING to copy a few of them!<br />

It took me most of the last 2 weeks but I am officially caught up with the 52 Week challenge! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I honestly had my doubts that it was going to happen! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-c1xvfGxBISc/WsbWN5Xp89I/AAAAAAAAEEw/CAmHQzyQ9TYsjGa1cObnd4Vj-uiOstZbgCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0441.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-c1xvfGxBISc/WsbWN5Xp89I/AAAAAAAAEEw/CAmHQzyQ9TYsjGa1cObnd4Vj-uiOstZbgCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_0441.JPG" width="240" /></a>The vest actually counted for 2 weeks as I made 2 of them. </div>
The pattern was free that I found on the internet. Its not honestly even worth repeating the name. It was poorly written and I had nothing but problems with it..The fabric is from my stash and they both are costumes for the upcoming Star Wars 5k.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BJjtIP40_M8/WsbWOOD7YfI/AAAAAAAAEE4/T3yFiG9L32sVMXJihjZBQACJdCcS1C9sACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0443.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-BJjtIP40_M8/WsbWOOD7YfI/AAAAAAAAEE4/T3yFiG9L32sVMXJihjZBQACJdCcS1C9sACLcBGAs/s320/IMG_0443.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
The cover up is a pattern from Pattern Emporium called the Calypso Kaftan. The fabric is from a dress that I bought in the Philippines. I loved the fabric but the dress not so much. I am LOVING the kaftan though!<br />
<br />
https://patternemporium.com/products/ladies-calypso-kaftan-pdf-pattern<br />
<br />
Pattern is very well written and this is actually #5! They are wonderful to throw on in the summer.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Vif8MGZiXDo/WsbWOLj9RxI/AAAAAAAAEE0/VyDhf6Vq_jIdLNvLHbcmbsFjl3afhS_egCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_0444.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Vif8MGZiXDo/WsbWOLj9RxI/AAAAAAAAEE0/VyDhf6Vq_jIdLNvLHbcmbsFjl3afhS_egCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_0444.JPG" width="320" /></a>Now the tote is my favorite of all these projects! This is the Take Off Tote from Dog Under My Desk patterns..I WILL be making more of these! There is a really awesome luggage pocket on the back so it will be wonderful to carry though the airports! Just slip it right over the handle of your carry on and wallah! No need to wreck your shoulders with a heavy carry on. The directions were so clear to understand and it went together so easily! This will be with out a doubt a repeat offender!<br />

There is SO MUCH going on but yet I can't talk about any of it yet! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have been testing for 2 pattern designers and until they are released its lips zipped! Thats hard for me as I am so excited about both of these patterns! 1 is a really awesome flared shirt from Pickle Toes Patterns. That description doesn't even do it justice. I LOVE THIS TOP...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The second test is this AMAZING and feminine vintage Tea dress..It is so unbelievably beautiful.The pattern designer is Designer Stitch. It is with out a doubt one of my most favorite dresses ever. If you know me that says a lot. I have a small addiction to White House Black Market, but this dress is better then any I have bought from them.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I can't wait to share them both.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In the meantime I am trying to keep up and in fact catch up on my 52 week challenge. I have 1 week to catch up and I have that project on the table right now..</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The project below was this last weeks challenge sew something from felt. So for an upcoming costume for the Star Wars Darkside race weekend at Walt Disney World I made my little storm torpor masks from felt.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I will be sharing more of the costume as Week 13 is sew from a pattern you own but have never used. I got a pattern a couple weeks back and hadn't used it yet :)....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

One is that you should never combine stretch knits with wovens...Well the Clementine proves that myth to be false!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HDb4UdA3pa8/WqRuUsnT5YI/AAAAAAAAEDQ/HsC-s87P-7g_7TwSj80uUfHl9nfNXx9VgCLcBGAs/s1600/thumb_IMG_8661_1024.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1086" data-original-width="724" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HDb4UdA3pa8/WqRuUsnT5YI/AAAAAAAAEDQ/HsC-s87P-7g_7TwSj80uUfHl9nfNXx9VgCLcBGAs/s320/thumb_IMG_8661_1024.jpg" width="213" /></a>I was so excited to be chosen as a tester for this dress. The moment I saw it I knew it would become a staple in my closet. I mean how much better can it get! I can use all my favorite knits and the world is open to use a woven with or with out bands for the skirt!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KfWK_6BMd9c/WqRvms8tySI/AAAAAAAAEDc/B5LJ5qjtItIqm_IRq3IhBokqQXuzIeIJQCLcBGAs/s1600/27797654_1932231793471769_8761390645679807205_o.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-KfWK_6BMd9c/WqRvms8tySI/AAAAAAAAEDc/B5LJ5qjtItIqm_IRq3IhBokqQXuzIeIJQCLcBGAs/s320/27797654_1932231793471769_8761390645679807205_o.jpg" width="320" /></a>There are 3 different sleeve lengths along with lengths to take it from a maxi to a sassy little shirt. It is LOVE with this pattern. I have a few more planned out. </div>

Bella Sunshine designs will definitely be a one of my go to designers. Its on sale through the end of tomorrow. It would be sad to miss this pattern....</div>

Our friends showed up and we headed out to our cruise on the Norwegian Sky. It was just a short little cruise. All of 3 nights<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4sWiAxUZQ1c/WpiZXFr0ztI/AAAAAAAAEB0/_wApDxnonY4D4gjTM7In_d6QKiKQRhfuwCLcBGAs/s1600/DSC05554.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1064" data-original-width="1600" height="212" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4sWiAxUZQ1c/WpiZXFr0ztI/AAAAAAAAEB0/_wApDxnonY4D4gjTM7In_d6QKiKQRhfuwCLcBGAs/s320/DSC05554.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
but SO MUCH fun! Its one we will do again.<br />
<br />
The first stop was a private island called Great Stirrup Cay. This island was so amazing with all food and drink included. The water was so blue and oh so warm!<br />
<br />
The second stop was Nassau Bahamas. After Great Stirrup Cay we were left slightly disappointed. We didn't want to go to Atlantis so we toured through the city and then found a little beach a short cab ride away.<br />

The water was still quite beautiful and warm but the beach was not as clean and there was definitely no people watching.<br />
<br />
So after swimming a bit and laying on the beach we headed back to town. We were all hungry so we made a pit stop for Nachos at Senior Froggys.<br />
<br />
They were really very good and the portions were huge! But paying 7$ plus for a beer was a little hard to do..<br />
<br />
I am thinking the next time we do this cruise we<br />

I am VERY behind on my 52 week challenge though. I was able to complete week 7 right before the cruise..I went rogue on that week. It was supposed to be sew something with hearts..Well one of my Bff's was really wanting a new dress for the cruise...So a day or 2 before we left we ran to the fabric store and picked her fabric up for a Wiggle...Pattern by Patterns For Pirates.<br />

<br />
I am SAD about it also. I have been getting so much done...But my house is going to experience a surge of guests tomorrow evening and it isn't going to let up until I am home from the Princess Half Marathon weekend in 2 weeks...<br />
<br />
There will be no time to sew..Next weekend we will be on a little cruise and then running running running....So for my week 6 challenge of sewing something red or pink. I made a tie!<br />
<br />
Pattern is by Vanilla Joy<br />
http://www.vanillajoy.com/free-printable-original-boys-neck-tie-pdf-pattern.html<br />
<br />
I did slim it width wise and lengthened it. But Nerd Minnie is ready to run the half!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
See you in 2 weeks when I get home to catch up on the challenge!</div>

That I love to sew for myself. Retail clothing is drafted for women 5'6" and taller..On a good day I am 5'2"..So styles I love just won't work. Its not fun to alter retail. For one thing the construction sometimes makes it impossible</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Na7iEqZE2lE/Wnd7ZLSn41I/AAAAAAAAEAY/DsUeT6_75bgLoCWAhfg6GWmvaxEJ38T-QCLcBGAs/s1600/thumb_IMG_8664_1024.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1086" data-original-width="724" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Na7iEqZE2lE/Wnd7ZLSn41I/AAAAAAAAEAY/DsUeT6_75bgLoCWAhfg6GWmvaxEJ38T-QCLcBGAs/s320/thumb_IMG_8664_1024.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>
This is the Cerena Romper from Rebecca Page <a href="https://rebecca-page.com/product/ladies-romper-pattern/">ladies-romper-pattern</a> . I fell in love with this pattern a while ago and thought what the heck. hahahah...So I cut it out of fabric I didn't really care about. Fabric that doesn't even really match lol..But that way I would not be too bummed if I chucked it..But guess what? I LOVE THIS!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bOlkFrVR0RA/Wnd7ZAeUG_I/AAAAAAAAEAc/Ucpd5l0oucMFxkf0XBx-3f-mWvH-p3tfQCLcBGAs/s1600/thumb_IMG_8665_1024.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1086" data-original-width="724" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-bOlkFrVR0RA/Wnd7ZAeUG_I/AAAAAAAAEAc/Ucpd5l0oucMFxkf0XBx-3f-mWvH-p3tfQCLcBGAs/s320/thumb_IMG_8665_1024.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>
I did have to modify a bit. The top needed to be shortened and the waist graded in. I also did not do the invisible zipper. i will do that on the next one. I am so happy with this it is making the cruise list!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

#week5challenge</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This was not my original intended pattern. I had set out to make the Watson Bra by Cloth Habit.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
https://shop.clothhabit.com/products/watson-bra-bikini?variant=939719301</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But I encountered a couple of problems. First of all my hardware kit didn't get here in time for me to make my deadline. But I also ordered from Canada knowing it takes longer to get through customs. So I think I was sabotaging myself. Lol</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I also knew I would be testing a new pattern this week and my focus needed to be on that.I can't post about it yet but I will soon. Its a SUPER cute pattern :)....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So enter my second choice. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
https://www.madeformermaids.com/product/lacebundle/</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Made 4 Mermaids Mama Bridgette. Its part of the newLounge & Lace pattern Collection. I should have also used the Victoria for the bottoms but I am a bit in love with the Ohhh Lulu Claudia Hipsters.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
http://www.ohhhlululingerie.com/product/claudia-hipster-panties-pdf-sewing-pattern/</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I will be making the Victorias soon but I needed a pattern that would be a no brainer. Lol..I have made so many I could do it in my sleep! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XfUUCsh4o4c/WnZ_5Le3_MI/AAAAAAAAEAI/pPOeelnnkr0K8CDyhEEN_jeS5j6z3IuxACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_6435.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1186" data-original-width="1600" height="237" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XfUUCsh4o4c/WnZ_5Le3_MI/AAAAAAAAEAI/pPOeelnnkr0K8CDyhEEN_jeS5j6z3IuxACLcBGAs/s320/IMG_6435.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now the lace I ordered from Surge Fabrics. It is YUMMY!! All in all I am totally happy with this new pattern. Easy for a beginner and yet fun for someone like myself who has been sewing for years. I am going to have fun experimenting with the Bralette for sure..</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now I am just hoping it will fit the recipient! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You wouldn't think this one would be hard..I mean 2 monsters and all..But it was! You can get away with a lot for girls..Doll clothes, baby blankets,fluffy and fru fru stuff..Not so much with boys. My monsters don't need anything clothing wise..If they do I make it at the time. I thought about a car tote/holder..Wasnt doing it for me.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hubby wants some matching ties to dresses I own but I don't have any fabric for dresses that would make a good tie. Hmmmmmm...OH YEAH. The Swoon Atlas Rucksack pattern. https://swoonpatterns.com/shop/atlas-rucksack/</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I can not say enough good things about Swoon pattens. They are so well put together and the instructions are AMAZING...Not to mention they have a TON of free bag patterns. This is the PERFECT gift! Especially for a guy. My hubby has his order in for one. I just need to stop making them for gifts and one for him! Lol</div>

Or in other words #week3challenge....This was not easy for me..For one thing I have been loving the fact that I could keep vacation/capsule/gift sewing and still keep with in the 52 week guidelines...This I could not make anything fit...<br />
<br />
But then the end of last week I lost the presser foot to my Pfaff.The foot I use the most often! Now anyone that knows me knows I am organized chaos at best. But I NEVER lose parts to my machine. My beloved love of my life! 2 hours later and I was running for my laptop. To start pricing a replacement...<br />
<br />
I put the laptop on the cutting table and just happened to look down to the side.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
But what it meant was I knew what to make for week 3! A little bit of fabric,boning, and rice and I am now just a bit more organized..</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The only thing I did alter was to add a pattern weight to the rice bag for a bit more weight..Now I am off to look for my seam ripper. THAT I misplace all the time...</div>

<br />
I am having a lot of fun with this challenge and I am proud to say I am stepping out of my box!<br />
<br />
I have 4 purses to make for an upcoming girls night and I chose the Sweetpea from Blue Cala patterns. The best part is its a free pattern!<br />
<br />
https://bluecallapatterns.com/collections/free-patterns<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-D9H4AxoIGCA/WlVVwCQwVPI/AAAAAAAAD98/Ll6kzpazXYoIC2Ze2mCpj-igl25I2Ww9QCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_6353.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-D9H4AxoIGCA/WlVVwCQwVPI/AAAAAAAAD98/Ll6kzpazXYoIC2Ze2mCpj-igl25I2Ww9QCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_6353.JPG" width="240" /></a>I did do some modifications to the back. I enlarged the pdf pattern to 120%. I then squared up the front flap. To the inside I added an extra pocket and a key fob. You can NEVER have enough pockets! In fact I may add more. :)..Key fobs are just a staple for EVERY bag I make.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I hate searching for keys.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fP80G1YdkI0/WlVVudq3ynI/AAAAAAAAD90/GfnTEKNEwHoTjxhpadi7E4BfUxIdaCP6wCLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_6354.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fP80G1YdkI0/WlVVudq3ynI/AAAAAAAAD90/GfnTEKNEwHoTjxhpadi7E4BfUxIdaCP6wCLcBGAs/s320/IMG_6354.JPG" width="240" /></a>This bag is a cross body and by enlarging it I think its going to be the perfect size! I found the fabrics at Walmart. All but the fairy frost I used for the lining..I really should have saved it for a quilt but it is so yummy I couldn't help it. I pulled it from my stash so pretty sure I can find some more ;)...</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/--daoaAqn9_I/WlVVvdKgNuI/AAAAAAAAD94/xoDaWmquGgUMsiGjoByj_9rXQcylLN7ZACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_6355.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/--daoaAqn9_I/WlVVvdKgNuI/AAAAAAAAD94/xoDaWmquGgUMsiGjoByj_9rXQcylLN7ZACLcBGAs/s320/IMG_6355.JPG" width="240" /></a>So now I can get back to work on the dozens of other things I need done before the end of next month!</div>

I just couldn't get a feel on the soft. So I decided to make a Swimsuit!<br />
<br />
I need a good suit that is modest for our trip to Sri Lanka in July. I happen to have a load of swim fabric that I purchased off of Ebay a few years back so I thought lets give this a go!<br />
<br />
I used 5outof4's Escapade Tankini and Riptide reversible shorts. Except for a few minor tweaks I am VERY happy with how it turned out! So much so that if I get all my other sewing for the trip done I will be making another set!<br />
<br />
The pattern was very easy to follow with great pictures to follow.<br />
<br />
Sorry my pictures are not very professional on any of these but it was a long sewing day and I was NOT modeling the suit for y'all..<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3zNgqs4qyWM/Wk2NOoGzUwI/AAAAAAAAD9M/HypxIJ8qRe8J50JKTXHCrMGMWI_v3OiPACLcBGAs/s1600/IMG_6345.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-3zNgqs4qyWM/Wk2NOoGzUwI/AAAAAAAAD9M/HypxIJ8qRe8J50JKTXHCrMGMWI_v3OiPACLcBGAs/s320/IMG_6345.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
Now the next finish was not a challenge finish. But I am so IN LOVE with this dress! This is Sis Boom Pattern CO's Rebecca dress...Appropriate name I thought :)...<br />
<br />
I actually did get fabric for this dress..I really wanted a Lily Pulitzer feel for it. Again I was happy with the instructions for this pattern and would recommend it to any seamstress..There is a zipper but the instructions are very clear and easy to follow..<br />
<br />
I can't wait to wear it!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IJnuSts3QG8/Wk2MjRDQuPI/AAAAAAAAD9E/1donBego_9gXbrISmu8OGFltgckzrrjRwCEwYBhgL/s1600/IMG_6344.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IJnuSts3QG8/Wk2MjRDQuPI/AAAAAAAAD9E/1donBego_9gXbrISmu8OGFltgckzrrjRwCEwYBhgL/s320/IMG_6344.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
My last finish of the day was a Pencil skirt from Patterns for Pirates..I use this pattern a LOT...This one is a bit modified for the recipient..She wanted about 6 inches added and it to not taper on the bottom. So from the widest part of the hip I took the pattern straight down.<br />
<br />
You do get a modeled picture of this as I had to send it to her to tell her I had changed my mind and was going to keep it...Hahahah...She texted me back a few not nice words...Sigh..I guess she will still get it..<br />
<br />
Isn't the fabric just yummy tho! She found it on Etsy and had it sent to me. I WILL be finding out where and making another one..<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-879BOuj_Byg/Wk2MjXOGx8I/AAAAAAAAD9A/O8x7GfJnhbsimDUyU_xh_KPlMKGHaPzlwCEwYBhgL/s1600/IMG_6342.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-879BOuj_Byg/Wk2MjXOGx8I/AAAAAAAAD9A/O8x7GfJnhbsimDUyU_xh_KPlMKGHaPzlwCEwYBhgL/s320/IMG_6342.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So tomorrow I am hoping to finish a few more things! I am making progress on my list though :)...I need a countdown widget!</div>
