Using a Newer Pattern

This was not my original intended pattern. I had set out to make the Watson Bra by Cloth Habit.

But I encountered a couple of problems. First of all my hardware kit didn't get here in time for me to make my deadline. But I also ordered from Canada knowing it takes longer to get through customs. So I think I was sabotaging myself. Lol

I also knew I would be testing a new pattern this week and my focus needed to be on that.I can't post about it yet but I will soon. Its a SUPER cute pattern :)....

Made 4 Mermaids Mama Bridgette. Its part of the newLounge & Lace pattern Collection. I should have also used the Victoria for the bottoms but I am a bit in love with the Ohhh Lulu Claudia Hipsters.

I will be making the Victorias soon but I needed a pattern that would be a no brainer. Lol..I have made so many I could do it in my sleep! 

Now the lace I ordered from Surge Fabrics. It is YUMMY!! All in all I am totally happy with this new pattern. Easy for a beginner and yet fun for someone like myself who has been sewing for years. I am going to have fun experimenting with the Bralette for sure..

Now I am just hoping it will fit the recipient!

I did today. Then just as I was about to scream I found this. It has ALWAYS made me laugh.I had forgotten I had it though.So today it was just like a present.Ü Oldest daughter has been confined to the house with what her doctor tells us is a very contagious viral infection. Personally I think her doctor is smoking some funny stuff. Her blood tests were normal and she has been battling bad tonsils for a month.Hmmmm. Ice Road Truckers and a 20

Year old girl.I hadnt told yall becuse I was living in a state of denial. Its my favorite state actually but that is another story. If you had asked me this weekend where my oldest daughter was I would of told you she was driving with the Ice Road truckers. She really was too. Oldest daughter was driving Pilot truck for an oversized load headed to Prudhoe bay. She drove the haul road. A road not many men will even drive. She said she prayed over many of the passes mainly the Attigun Pass but many of the others too. I had to laugh when she called me from Cold foot to tell me excitedly that she had met a couple of the Ice Road truckers as they are there filming. She was able to see a little of the filming too. On the web page for that t.v. show they make a statement that the road to prudhoe is driven by fearless tough men.Lol. They need to add And one 20 year old girl! I am really proud of her. I am such a powder puff and scared to try anything new. I dont know how I was blessed with her
