Out Of My Box Again

I have decided that I am naming this quilt Out Of The Box. Thank fully my customers understood my delay with running to Cali to see my dad. They gave me an extension. Evidently their house is not done anyways so it was good timing. So I am back to work on the strips and curves. While I want to go on record saying that I think the designer is brilliant I have to admit that its a challenging quilt for me. I cant even tell you why as I am enjoying the process. I really REALLY have to stop and think though! Row 2 out of 5 is done, and I am going to tell you that I am VERY greatful that I get to applique circles stragetically over seams that dont meet up.Ü

I did finish the bargello. Its going to be quilted this week! So no pictures until I atleast get it loaded. The dumb thing turned into a king size!! I didnt plan that but to have it at the right size would of meant no borders. I cant seem to do a no border quilt.

For fun I am also throwing together this little kit from Moda. I am going to have to redesign it though as it leaves fabric not used. One of my biggest pet peeves is having to much fabric left over that will only fit into that particular project.


This week is going to be a busy one. We have company showing up on Wed. YAY! we have a dinner party with about 50 people on friday, and I have to get the bargello quilted. That I am hand carrying to Arkansas at the end of the month. I am going to meet oldest daughters boyfriends parents.Yowzer that is a mouthful isnt it! I will need ALL the good wishes you can imagine for this meeting. More on that later.Ü

The black and white strings are gorgeous! I need to go browse around more to find about the other things you're talking about.....

I did today. Then just as I was about to scream I found this. It has ALWAYS made me laugh.I had forgotten I had it though.So today it was just like a present.Ü Oldest daughter has been confined to the house with what her doctor tells us is a very contagious viral infection. Personally I think her doctor is smoking some funny stuff. Her blood tests were normal and she has been battling bad tonsils for a month.Hmmmm. Ice Road Truckers and a 20

Year old girl.I hadnt told yall becuse I was living in a state of denial. Its my favorite state actually but that is another story. If you had asked me this weekend where my oldest daughter was I would of told you she was driving with the Ice Road truckers. She really was too. Oldest daughter was driving Pilot truck for an oversized load headed to Prudhoe bay. She drove the haul road. A road not many men will even drive. She said she prayed over many of the passes mainly the Attigun Pass but many of the others too. I had to laugh when she called me from Cold foot to tell me excitedly that she had met a couple of the Ice Road truckers as they are there filming. She was able to see a little of the filming too. On the web page for that t.v. show they make a statement that the road to prudhoe is driven by fearless tough men.Lol. They need to add And one 20 year old girl! I am really proud of her. I am such a powder puff and scared to try anything new. I dont know how I was blessed with her
