Decisions
I am lousy at these. We go to a restraunt and I will be the one sitting there pondering over the too many choices. Just today as I was going through the drive through the kids made a bet that it would take me the longest to figure out what I wanted. So I said the first thing I saw (to prove them wrong) and then thought all the way home about the other choices I could have made.Lol. I have a real problem with this.
So wonderful hubby tells me a couple days ago that he has the opportunity to rent my truck out next year for 6 months. This breaks my heart as it is my baby. My red, leather, sun roof, heated seats waited to get until I didnt have little children, hubby had it delivered with 3 miles and a big red ribbon baby. BUT and it is a huge one, if I do rent it out for 6 months it will completely pay it off and it will be rented to someone we know.It will be taken care of. It does get lousy gas mileage at 13 mpg. Plus I drive so little that we can rent it out and the mileage put on it wont even bring it up to the estimated mileage it should have. I would be stupid not to do this so I told him to go for it.
Unbelievable he left this descision completely up to me. Unbelievable as the man would rent his socks out if he werent wearing them. So after I make this monumentous descision (it took me over a week) he tells me to pick out another vehicle and we will pick it up next year. We have started making plans for a HUGE roadtrip from Washington, Arkansas,Texas,California, and back to Alaska road trip. His idea would be to buy it outside next may and use it for our road trip. Awesome idea as I was looking at rental prices and it would be wiser to put the money into our own vehicle. What is the problem I am sure you are wondering. Well besides the fact that we are completely off our rockers to take the children on a road trip. Its the fact that he has left it completely up to me to pick my new vehicle out!
I have spent 3 days searching car reports, websites, and every blog I can find. I have it narrowed down to two. A Buick Enclave and a GMC Acadia. So now the quest begins. My lists of pros and cons, what extras do I want or what seems to be a waste of money. I told him last night we are going to find a place to rent each one out so that I can spend time driving them to compare. Yikes. This is really overwhelming me. What is wonderful hubby doing as I am obsessing about this? Sitting back and laughing. He knows I will do all the homework. His job will be to call his friend at the dealership and tell him to order it.Ü. He has had to buy so many trucks and such throughout the past few years he just makes his little phone call and then signs papers. He doesnt do haggling and such.
So which one would you pick? Of course whichever one I get it WILL be red. That isnt even up for discussion.
