WARNING major rant ahead!!!

I am warning yall right now this post is me complaining! Actually I am so mad I think their may be steam coming from the top of my head......Yup Im pretty sure there is.

SO we have been having some "issues" with our young painter. Hes a sweet kid but just that a kid. Hubby an I felt sorry for him as he was looking for work so we gave him work. I started to NOT feel sorry for him about the first week.

Ok I will just state I have major colosal tremendously HUGE control issues. I know this, I understand this, and I am o.k. with this. I work on it constantly and everyone that knows me knows I try to keep it under control.

Being sick this past couple of weeks gave me the excuse to babysit the painter when he did show so that I knew he was atleast painting something. The fact that he was in the kids bathroom for 6 hours after I had done the walls, put a first coat on the ceiling ,and taken aoff the hardware on the doors irritated me but hubby just wanted to let it go. The fact that in an eight hour day he would spend 6 hours of it text messaging did make me want to take a hammer to his phone but AGAIN hubby (you notice he isnt wonderful right now)(YA hero status is gone for the moment!) says oh just let it go..........

So today I finally get my act together and convince myself to go to work.My customers are the most undersatnding customers in the world. Our other painter had shown up, even the drywaller was here, so I am thinking its ok to leave the little stupidhead alone.............GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

He repainted skater boys room. Needed to be done. I was ok with that.Didnt even let myself check on him at lunch.I am trusting him. At the end of the day he leaves and I think hmmmmm lets go see what he did. Do you know what he did? He DID NOT cover the pergo flooring we installed a few short months ago in skater boys room. I scrubbed for 2 hours did not even get 1/2 the paint up and hubby STILL is not mad enough to fire the little &#!!......If I start drinking right now I will not be stopping tonight.I locked myself in the bedroom and have growled at anyone daring to walk past the room. My mom used to say when she was mad that she could just spit nails.....Yup that sounds appropriate.

Hope you feel better getting that off your chest Becca. Also hope the flooring isn't ruined. I think I would get rid of the junior painter before he messed up something else. Actually I know I would!!!

Fire him and get someone else who needs work. There are lots of people out of work now. He obviously is disrespectful of your property and being paid to goof off most of the time only makes them worse. I say fire his ass! Really the only way they learn it doesn't fly is to get called on it. Good luck!
I would be spitting nails too, but then I would have said something when there was so much time spent texting. ARRRG

omgosh, I would be livid.......I don't trust ANYONE with anything in our house. Thank goodness, neither does Dean. Between us, we can do everything EXCEPT major recon work....Praise the Lord.

I hope your hubby hits his limit soon....

Wow, I would honestly be angry to the point of tears. I would have had him come back and scrub the floors. Yikes. I guess this is one reason my hubs wants to hire people who are licensed and insured. So sorry.....

But thanks for coming by today. I hope you win something somewhere to feel better!
