Busy Girl Thats Me!

Please excuse the picture quality.This was taken late last night when I got it done. This is cali Girls quilt. I started it about 4 years ago and just stashed it away. I really loved it when I started and then fell out of love with it.Lol. It was a kit from John Flynn, and I have to say the man is a genius. All the peices were precut with a laser. They were absolutely perfect and went together like a dream. I think the colors just werent me and I couldnt seem to find a good layout.It will be a perfect hug for Cali girl though and really does fit her personality.I just quilted a simple swirl meander. This one JUST came off the frame. It was the absolute worst example of how to put borders on that I could ever show you. But I wont because they are bad. I had to quilt actual pleats! Its my own too.How bad is that and WHY can I not get the proper way to do borders through my head! Anyways it is an anniversary gift that is truthfully like 20 years late...You may think I am joking on that but I am not.I am a baaaaaaaaad girl.
This is what I did for border burnout breaks.Do you see what it is Jody???? Well the story behind this IS that no one not ANYBODY would make me one! I begged I pleaded I hinted and even groveled a bit I think. Sigh. I finally had to make myself my own sewing mat. And I think its better then all yalls! Ü. Just kidding. Except you Jody pffffffttttttttt! hehehehehehe.


Oh yeah! The best part. Get a load of these new shoes! (PLEASE EXCUSE THE MESS) Artne these just the best! Yes I did wear them around the house with these socks. Yes I did make all the workers admire them. And yes they do think I am nuts. Thats ok with me. It keeps them on their toes.







Did I mention that it is just Little A and I? Going a little crazy here! JAN I really seriously gave it some thought tonight about just crashing your house! Lol. I was worried we might freak cabana boy out a little. Ü

I did today. Then just as I was about to scream I found this. It has ALWAYS made me laugh.I had forgotten I had it though.So today it was just like a present.Ü Oldest daughter has been confined to the house with what her doctor tells us is a very contagious viral infection. Personally I think her doctor is smoking some funny stuff. Her blood tests were normal and she has been battling bad tonsils for a month.Hmmmm. Ice Road Truckers and a 20

Year old girl.I hadnt told yall becuse I was living in a state of denial. Its my favorite state actually but that is another story. If you had asked me this weekend where my oldest daughter was I would of told you she was driving with the Ice Road truckers. She really was too. Oldest daughter was driving Pilot truck for an oversized load headed to Prudhoe bay. She drove the haul road. A road not many men will even drive. She said she prayed over many of the passes mainly the Attigun Pass but many of the others too. I had to laugh when she called me from Cold foot to tell me excitedly that she had met a couple of the Ice Road truckers as they are there filming. She was able to see a little of the filming too. On the web page for that t.v. show they make a statement that the road to prudhoe is driven by fearless tough men.Lol. They need to add And one 20 year old girl! I am really proud of her. I am such a powder puff and scared to try anything new. I dont know how I was blessed with her
