Switching Gears

That would be me! I am getting very good at it lately.

I helped pick out all the tile for downstairs. After we got it all picked out I started collecting stuff to decorate. As I am driving WH to Bismarck today to send him back to Alaska for a week I find out the gears have been switched! A lighter tile was purchased as he thought it would look better. Nothing that I have been collecting now matches so it all goes back.Switching gears!

I was supposed to be FINALLY putting my clothes into my closet today.I guess everyone is tired of stepping over my clothing and shoes. Instead I am switching gears! It has been decided that I am going to move all my clothes to 3 different closets. Each time I get it all moved another contractor decides THAT is the closet they need to work in so yup I move it ALL again! Wanna guess where it all ended up! Yup back in the bathroom.

I picked out all the fabric for the master bedroom curtains yesterday. Remember my elation at being able to focus? Short lived. I was going to do cornices but the framing wasnt done right by one of the windows and the door that is right next to it is too close. I suggested that someone else should switch gears on this one and move the door or window but no one thought that was a good idea. So you guessed it. I am switching gears again! Back to the fabric store and now we are going with Roman shades!

I have a head ache from all this switching gears today. Tomorrow I am thinking I am not going to get out of bed. WH is gone so why not? Oh yeah the dozen or so other contractor men trooping through my house.

I'm thinking I need an adult beverage after just reading that. So switch gears... adult beverage and point to where little A should hang those clothes next.... :-) and a little fiestaware and fabric retail therapy wouldn't hurt either probably.....

I did today. Then just as I was about to scream I found this. It has ALWAYS made me laugh.I had forgotten I had it though.So today it was just like a present.Ü Oldest daughter has been confined to the house with what her doctor tells us is a very contagious viral infection. why my text to my blog messed up like that. the text is all words but it transposed to symbols somewhere along the way. i am still in sacramento.my father passed away on sunday. this is definitely the roughest thing i have ever done. i am being strong for mom though.funeral is this sat. and then our "new" normal starts. i just miss my dad. i am so grateful though that i did get here in time to say goodbye.
